Control Ableton Arrangement View from the stage.
Markerlist turns the locators and structure of your Ableton Arrangement into a clear live control surface. Navigate songs and sections, control playback, run loops and keep the show moving from a phone, tablet or computer.
Your Ableton arrangement stays your arrangement.
Build and edit your show in Ableton Live as usual. Markerlist works externally and turns the structure already in your Arrangement View into an interface designed for live control.
Keep your locators
Use your existing Ableton locators to identify songs, sections and points in the show. No need to rebuild the arrangement in another system.
Control from the stage
Open Markerlist in a browser on your phone, tablet or computer and control the Ableton session without staying at the main computer.
No plugin in your project
Markerlist is external to the Ableton project. There is no Max for Live device or Markerlist plugin to load into the session.
From Arrangement View to an on-stage control surface.
Arrangement View gives you a linear timeline for the complete show. Markerlist adds a practical control layer around that timeline, so the performer can work from the stage instead of reaching for the laptop.
Build the show
Create your songs, sections, transitions and locators in Ableton Arrangement View.
Open Markerlist
Connect your control device to the same local network and open Markerlist in a browser.
Run the show
Navigate the set, control playback, use section loops and cues, and see what is happening live.
Stay on stage
Keep the Ableton computer where it belongs and use the control surface where you need it.
Made specifically for Arrangement View live sets.
Markerlist is not intended to replace Ableton Live. It is a dedicated control layer for musicians and live crews who already build their shows in Arrangement View.
Songs and sections
Turn your arrangement structure into a readable show interface instead of navigating the timeline with a mouse during the performance.
Live control
Use Play, Stop, navigation, section loops and cues from the control device. Markerlist is designed around what happens during a show.
Multiple control devices
Depending on your plan, several browser windows can control the same show. Each opened browser window counts as one device.
Important: Markerlist does not replace your Ableton project or ask you to rebuild your show in a second timeline. It works with the Arrangement structure you already use.
Control Ableton from an iPad, phone or computer.
The control interface runs in a browser. Use a phone, tablet or computer on Windows, macOS, iOS or Android. Currently, only the host computer running the Ableton session must be a Mac.
Ableton Arrangement View controller — FAQ
What is an Ableton Arrangement View controller?
It is a control interface designed to operate an Ableton Live session built in Arrangement View without requiring the performer to stay at the main computer. Markerlist uses the structure of the Arrangement, including locators, to provide live controls from another device.
Can Markerlist control Ableton Arrangement View?
Yes. Markerlist is designed specifically around Arrangement View live sets and can navigate and control the show using the structure already present in the Ableton session.
Can I control Ableton Arrangement View from an iPad?
Yes. Markerlist's control interface runs in a browser, so an iPad can be used as a control device on the same local network.
Does Markerlist modify my Ableton project?
No. Markerlist operates externally and does not write changes into the original Ableton project.
Do I need Max for Live?
No. Markerlist is not a Max for Live device and does not require a Markerlist plugin to be loaded into the Ableton project.
How many devices can control one Ableton set?
